Business Development Associate

Internship

Business Development Associate will conduct market/customer research and analysis and keep abreast with industry and market trends to develop business proposals. You will meet with the customers face to face to understand their needs and will respond effectively with a framework for interventions. You will analyze potential business impact for different business development initiatives and prioritize working arrangements accordingly. You will work closely with clients, external consultants and internal departments on matters related to all new contracts. You will be engaged with close and constant follow-up, as well as updates to the client management team on potential leads to help with business development. Lastly, you will need to build long-term relationships with new and existing customers, government authorities and other stakeholders.

Key Function:

The position serves the generation, design and farming Client opportunities including:

  • Lead market research to support in formulating the business development strategy
  • Promote CID’s corporate capabilities and services to Clients.
  • Generate and validate leads with private sector clients
  • Develop thorough briefing of client needs and consulting scope.
  • Work closely with practices leads in CID to design winning solutions that offer integrated consulting value for our clients.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive value offering to CID clients.
  • Structure and negotiate contracts and consulting engagement with the client.
  • Work closely with project teams to assess implementation, ensuring consistent feedback and service development
  • Build and maintain long-lasting and effective relationships with Clients, consultants, partners, and key stakeholders
  • Research and propose service innovation to meet market needs
  • Build partnerships to allow CID to expand its services

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in in consultative selling or marketing in a B2B environment OR 5-8 years of experience in international organizations in areas related to bid preparation and management
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and presentation skills
  • Able to develop professional documents and presentations
  • Able to develop and present an idea/topic/argument to mid-level professionals
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong commercial and numerical acumen
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to coordinate the activities of different team members
  • Able to develop and maintain relationships with different mid-level stakeholders
  • Consultative Selling capability is an asset
  • Able to negotiate with different stakeholders
  • Perfect command of spoken and written English and Arabic
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, or relevant areas.
