Global tourism is evolving fast, and there's so much that can be learned from how different countries are presenting their unique value propositions in creative ways. Whereas Egypt has been making great strides in promoting its tourism, especially from a cultural heritage angle, there are still lessons to be learned and inspiration to be drawn from other countries.
Egypt shares more with Turkey, Greece, and Indonesia than most people realize. Similar heritage assets, overlapping source markets, comparable scale. These three countries have each been shaping their own version of what modern tourism can look like.
They've each cracked an angle worth paying attention to; whether it's Greece's hard-won lessons on managing overcrowding, Turkey's aggressive digital pivot, or Indonesia's bet on community-led growth. A few of these lessons, applied locally, could help carry Egypt's tourism growth even further.
