Dr. Laila Iskandar is our founding partner, former Chairperson and unwavering social compass for our business and clients. Formerly Minister of State for Urban Renewal and Informal Settlements in Egypt, and Minister of State for Environmental Affairs, Dr. Iskandar connects her extensive experience and networks to deliver projects with positive social, economic and environmental impact.
With thirty years’ practice across grass roots communities and, informal settlements, she is known for addressing issues of Urban Poverty, creating opportunities for recycling SME's using a value chain analysis approach. She leads CID’s team on Education and Development projects covering full range of formal and non-formal learning contexts.
She represented CID Consulting when we were voted as ‘Social Entrepreneur of the Year’ 2006 at the World Economic Forum by the Schwab Foundation for a sustainable recycling school with UNESCO.
Dr. Iskandar is a graduate of Cairo University, UC Berkeley, California and Columbia University, New York. She has been a jury member to UNESCO’s International Literacy Prize, UNESCO’s Resource Person for the Arab region since 2005 on the United Nations Literacy Decade and Education for Sustainable Development, as well as Education Advisor for Egypt’s Canadian International Development Agency.
Ms. Dalia Wahba is our founding partner, responsible for driving twenty years of exponential growth for our business and clients. A powerful local influence for multi-sector businesses, individuals and associations alike, Ms. Wahba shares innovative leadership expertise across Egypt.
Through the design and management of prominent public awareness and outreach programs, Ms. Wahba instinctively informs marketing communication strategies for government entities, international and multinational organisations and Egyptian-based companies. Her expertise spans the breadth of CID’s offering, as she works across a range of strategic planning, partnership building, marketing communications and change management projects. She is recognised for her strong private-public partnership building abilities, having successfully executed impactful campaigns for a number of organisations. Ms. Wahba has participated in promoting Egypt with key international stakeholders through the participation in a number of overseas delegation for over 10 years.
Wahba holds a master’s degree in Consulting and Coaching for Change from HEC, Paris; a postgraduate degree in integrated marketing communications; and is a certified management consultant of the Institute of Management Consultancy in the United Kingdom. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and Business Administration from the American University in Cairo.
Between 2015 to 2017, she served as the Chair of the Marketing Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce, 2017-2019 Vice President for membership and is currently Executive Vice President at the Chamber. She is also the Co-Chair of the Dean’s Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) at the American University in Cairo.
Anis Aclimandos is president of Transcentury Associates (TCA), which manages development projects worldwide. He is also president of Woodies, a subsidiary of TCA, the import agent for Eastman-Kodak.
Aclimandos has handled large merger and acquisition projects in the Middle East, attracting FDI to the region from many countries.
Aclimandos joined the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt in 1983. He was elected to the board of governors in 1987 and re-elected in 1988 and 2007. He has served as chair of AmCham's Customs, Investment & Trade and International Donor Programs committees, and as vice president, membership from 2001 to 2005. Aclimandos was elected President of AmCham Egypt in 2013 and served for two consecutive terms till 2017.
A certified accountant, Aclimandos earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Cairo University and holds Egyptian and U.S. certification in financial management and analysis.
As a pillar to CID Consulting, Mr. Fahmy brings significant perspective and talent in institution building, communication and human resource development with the Private sector. Mr. Fahmy is the current CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AMCHAM) and was formerly Executive Director of AMCHAM - an organization whose vitality and professionalism has made it the model business association of the region. Mr. Fahmy served as Deputy Director of the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies and serves on the board of a variety of private enterprises. He is duly recognized for his prominent contribution to important advances in Egypt's business environment.

Ms. Azza Hussein has adept management, reporting and accounting expertise which she uses to direct indispensable financial operations for our overarching business and large-scale donor and private sector clients.
With over two decades experience across diverse financial and development industries, Ms. Hussein is entirely responsible for the successful management of the finance team and their day-to-day operations. She is known and trusted for her finance management acumen, budget analysis and cost reduction controls, and precise reporting systems.
Ms. Hussein is a graduate of Cairo University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Faculty of Commerce.
Ms. Heba El Sahly combines economic and social understanding with long-standing organisational development, market research, human resources and strategy consulting expertise for local and multinational companies.
With extensive management, research, analysis and development experience for local government, large-scale donors and the private sector, Ms. El Sahly effectively implements organizational transformation and management interventions with purpose. From organisational design and restructure, to job profiling, performance management and recruitment processes, Ms. El Sahly is responsible for people transformation, change management and overarching system improvement.
Ms. El Sahly is a graduate of the Maastricht School of Management and the American University in Cairo with an MBA and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.
Mr. Ashraf Maher’s brings a participatory approach and established community development talents to our community-based projects, with inspiring development strategies, social-behavioural change and community and stakeholder mapping, evaluation and mobilisation at their core.With grassroots experience of over 25 years in the training and capacity building of NGOs, teachers and civil society members and leaders, designing training manuals and educational curriculum, as well as cultivating successful community engagements, Mr. Maher has the ability to deliver intricate hands-on-coaching and community development training. His experience mobilising communities stretches across Upper Egypt, the Delta and the Red Sea.Mr. Maher is a graduate of Assiut University, Faculty of Commerce and holds a degree in environmental economics from Ain Shams University in Egypt as well as a culture development degree from Cairo University. He is also currently recognized as the management culture professor for Cairo University diploma students.
Tarek Fahmy is a multidisciplinary professional with more than 18 years’ experience in multinational organizations working across Middle East and Africa in different roles in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Lean Six Sigma and Strategy. At CID Consulting, Mr. Fahmy holds the position of Business Development Director, where he leads client-relationship management, tracks new markets, and analyzes potential business impact for different business development initiatives. He has an established track record in leadership experience in building, mentoring, and managing high performance teams, and managing organizational growth and expansion for client portfolios in different sectors. Mr. Fahmy has a BSc in Electrical Engineering and Master of Business Administration and Master of Arts in World History.
Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim combines his accounting expertise with a passion for finding innovative financial solutions to successfully develop and manage the internal accounting system, whilst monitoring overarching financial operations.With nearly a decade of experience as a financial officer and senior accountant, Mr. Ibrahim is comfortable leading financial operations, budgeting and reviewing bank projects for large-scale Egyptian private sector companies and international NGOs.Mr. Ibrahim is a graduate of the Ain Shams University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Driven with a passion for creating sustainable socioeconomic impact, Hana comes with a track record of successful design, management, and execution of socioeconomic development projects. Her experience allows her to combine methodological and data-driven project design with strategic stakeholder engagement to ensure successful project delivery. Ms. El Fekky comes with a track record of designing and implementing projects with a range of international donor agencies, local foundations, private sector companies and government partners. She brings multi-disciplinary expertise with interventions in education and training, youth employability, community engagement and gender programming. As a member of the Project Management Unit at CID, Ms. El Fekky specializes in managing projects from concept to completion, including partnership management, resource mobilization and project compliance. She is a graduate of International Relations from Queen Mary, University of London.
Ms. Omnia Abdallah's expertise spans across the fields of scholarly publishing, quality assurance, and international education management. She led more than 20 team members in one of the leading scientific publishing corporations, audited business processes according to the ISO standard 9001:2008, and worked on a U.S. state department grant to promote for the U.S. higher education system. Ms. Abdallah holds a bachelor’s degree in English and translation from the Faculty of Languages, Ain Shams University and a Master’s in Business Administration from The State University of New York at Stony Brook.
Ms. Zeina Foda is a marketing and communications professional with experience in purpose-driven communications, branding, and content curation in both non-profit and private sectors. As a member of the Marketing and Communications team, Ms. Zeina builds on her knowledge and passion for impact to support CID’s clients. Ms. Foda holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the American University in Cairo, where she double majored in Integrated Marketing Communications and Sociology.
Ms. Hanan Kamel brings her keen analytical skills and passion for research to CID as a member of the Marketing and Communications practice. She applies her wide market research experience, as well as her knack for data visualization to serve CID’s range of clients. Having worked on both sides; the client and the service provider, Ms. Kamel has gained a unique perspective that allows her to understand the needs of clients and adequately work on fulfilling their business objectives. Ms. Kamel holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences in Cairo University where she majored in Statistics.
Tasneem Breaka has started her career in innovation as a service designer in a design startup, and after an extensive amount of online trainings and courses in design thinking and service design, she led their newly launched Innovation program, designed to help students learn and implement design thinking methodologies.
Tasneem studied visual arts at the American University in Cairo, as an undergraduate, where she learned a lot about conceptual research techniques and the design process, and midway through her innovation career, she designed a social innovation project which helped land a scholarship in Istituto Europeo di Design in Barcelona, where she got her postgraduate degree in Design for innovation strategies. Tasneem has led RiseUp’s - the biggest entrepreneurship summit in the MENA Region - Innovation and Strategy, where she successfully worked on developing projects and services on both horizontal and vertical levels, using innovation and design thinking methodologies all while continuously iterating on the company’s overall strategy. Tasneem currently holds the position of Business Development Associate at CID, where she brings in her innovation and design thinking background to our client's offerings, while focusing on developing their experience with CID.
Nolly Dakroury is a communications professional with a background in journalism and PR. She is passionate about guiding both emerging and established businesses to strategically grow their communication and visibility, in turn creating impact and growing the local economy.
As a team member of the Marketing and Communications practice at CID, Ms. Nolly adapts her PR experience in the creative industry to tell compelling stories to achieve effective communication strategies. Her approach is rooted in developing a deep understanding for clients’ mission and vision, capitalizing on their strengths to achieve optimum results.
Ms. Nolly graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Michigan State University, where she also specialized in International Development, Documentary Studies and Film Production.
Ms. Lidia Melek capitalizes on her on-the-ground expertise in the development field to design high impact projects in various fields like education, women empowerment, SME support etc. She engages in proposal writing, managing, and communicating with partners, as well as strategizing new business development directions for CID. Her knowledge of the ecosystem in Egypt, and the MENA region allows her to have an eye for trends and directions in the consulting world. She analyses potential business impact for different business development initiatives and prioritize working arrangements accordingly. Meanwhile, she works on building long-term relationships with new and existing customers, government authorities and other stakeholders. She is also currently working as a Projects Coordinator on several donor projects in the areas of gender, education and employment.
Ms. Melek is a graduate of the American University in Cairo with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, minoring in History and Economics. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Public Administration at the American University in Cairo
Mr. Osama Ibrahim is an experienced accountant whose vast legal expertise, concise auditing skills and meticulous attention to detail help ensure the smooth running of financial projects and management for our business and clients.A former senior accountant, Mr. Ibrahim has accumulated knowledge working for International NGOs which he applies to his work today. Directly responsible for supporting our Finance Collector in the overarching management of our business finances, he leads reporting processes including quarterly and annual financial statements, as well as the preparation of audits, tax returns, grant-related reports and schedules.
Mr. Ibrahim is a graduate of South Valley University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Faculty of Commerce.
Ms. Annan Sherbiny is a member of Sustainability and Social Impact practice, with extensive experience in several community development projects in various fields and with different entities such as UNHCR, British Council, USAID, ITC. Through her multi-disciplinary approaches, Ms. Sherbiny is able apply her knowledge of community development and environment within CID. Ms. Sherbiny holds a bachelor’s degree from Cairo University where she majored in Commerce (Business Administration) – English Section.
Ms. Alia Youssef is a member of the Project Management Unit. Ms. Youssef's passion for connecting with new people and creating inclusive environments that improve people’s lives has led her to work in the project management field. She uses her extensive knowledge of project management from over four years in the multinational sector to serve CID’s clients and give back to the community. Ms. Youssef holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Sociology, and International Development from McGill University, Canada.
Driven by her inquisitive and multidisciplinary approach to business, Lujaina takes pride in her keenness to support across multiple consulting projects ranging from research and analysis to design and implementation. As a member of Marketing & Communication practice, she continues to seek knowledge and learning through working in various consulting practices.
A graduate of the American University in Cairo, Ms El Shazly earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with a Specialization in International Law & International Relations, and a minor in Economics.
Ms. Aida Youssef pairs her analytic and research skills to her passion for writing as part of the Business Development team. Committed to impact-driven organizations, her time at an educational charity in the UK showed her first-hand how systems change is key to transforming people’s lives for the better. In the local context, her contribution to a global nonprofit operating in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship introduced her to development challenges in Egypt, but also to the potential for solutions. She brings this multi-faceted approach to her role as analyst at CID.
