CID Consulting received the 2021 ECCO Award for its strategic communications, branding and stakeholder engagement work with Nestle Egypt on DORNA, a reverse credit system co-designed by the two companies to boost Egypt’s informal waste recyclers’ recovery and recycling rates of PET plastic. This marked the first time a MENA and Africa-based company to win the award.
In 2013, CID Consulting was granted the award from the G8 Deauville Partnership meeting on Women Entrepreneurship in the Arab world, for its distinguished corporate social responsibility work in Egypt. CID was also recognized by Foreign Office Minister, Alastair Burt, as an Egyptian consulting firm that creates sustainable solutions for communication, business and development with a strong element of CSR work, bringing innovative and sustainable business solutions to social and economic challenges.
CID Consulting received a Recognition of Excellence from the George Washington University School of Business in 2012, as a token of appreciation for supporting the Business School and the Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Entrepreneurship Curriculum as a case study partner.
In 2006, CID Consulting was recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Lead Organization in Social Entrepreneurship for introducing an innovative “learning while earning” model for children in the informal waste collection community in Cairo. This social investment project mitigated brand fraud for a major FMCG player in the market through the collection and recycling of fraudulent products, while incentivizing children in slum areas in Cairo to attend community schools and improve their learning outcome
